HIRAM, Ohio – The Thiel College women's volleyball team lost a non-conference match on the road Tuesday to the Hiram Terriers, 3-0.
 
Hiram won by set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-17.
 
Maria Torres (Boardman, Ohio/Boardman) paced the Tomcats with a match-best 11 kills to go along with five digs and two blocks. Danielle Aulet (Austintown, Ohio/Mineral Ridge) recorded 19 assists while Abby Triskett (Orwell, Ohio/Grand Valley) notched 12 digs.
 
Kayla Cole led Hiram with 11 digs and eight kills. Mackenzie Brannon tallied 17 digs while Emily Chrustic recorded 17 assists.
 
The Tomcats will host the Franciscan Lady Barons on Thursday at Beeghly Gymnasium. The Presidents' Athletic Conference match will begin at 7 p.m.
