GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team lost, 5-0, to the Franciscan Barons in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game on Wednesday.
The Barons kicked off the scoring in the 20th minute and didn't look back.
For the Tomcats,
Chase Yopp (New Brighton, Pa./New Brighton) tallied three shots, including one on goal.
Jacob Sirofchuck (Mercer, Pa./Mercer) also attempted two shots.
Rodney Washburn (Vandalia, Ohio/Butler) and
Nate Udell (Abington, Pa./Abington) each notched a shot on goal.
Devin Weisbarth (Akron, Ohio/Norton) totaled seven saves in 90 minutes.
For the Barons, five different players scored, including Mikey Irvin and Jonathan Schriner, who also recorded an assist apiece. Jax Mautone saved three shots in the shutout.
The Tomcats' next game will be at Bethany on Saturday. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
