GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel
College men's basketball team lost a Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) game to the Washington & Jefferson Presidents 83-72 on Saturday.
Junior guard
John Aarestrup (Miami, Fla./Archbishop Coleman Carroll) and senior forward
Michael Ricks (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland School of Architecture and Design) both had career point performances.
Ricks finished with a team-high 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field including 3-of-4 from behind the three-point line. He also hauled in eight rebounds and and handed out an assist.
Aarestrup scored 11 points including knocking down three three-pointers.
Ahmad Tejumola (Waldorf, Md./Saint Charles) recorded his sixth double-double on the season with 11 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
Washington & Jefferson had four players reach double-digit points in the road win and were led by Cameron Seemann who had a game-best 36 points.
The Tomcats will be back in action on Wednesday when they face the Chatham Cougars on the road. The PAC contest is scheduled for an 8 p.m. tipoff.
