OBERLIN, Ohio – The Thiel College men's lacrosse team lost a non-conference game on the road Saturday to the Oberlin Yeomen, 21-10.
Liam Stickle (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) led the Tomcats with three goals and an assist (4 points).
Jeffrey Karnoff (Ringoes, N.J./Hunterdon Central) recorded three points (2G, 1A) while
Nick Sylvis (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) scored two goals.
Sheldon Bourdeau (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) caused four turnovers while
Alex Andreozzi (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) notched five ground balls.
Tom Decker led Oberlin with nine points on seven goals and two assists.
Cole O'Connor (Midlothian, Va./James River) made nine saves for Thiel.
Jason Masciantonio (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser) and
Michael Purnell (Tipp City, Ohio/Bethel) also combined to make five saves. Calvin Filson made nine saves for the Yeomen.
Thiel will host the Muskingum Fighting Muskies on Wednesday at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome. The non-conference game will begin at 7 p.m.
