GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's basketball team lost an 89-80 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup to the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes on Saturday.
Seniors Michael Ricks (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland School of Architecture and Design) and Nyric Gosley (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) were two of Thiel's top four scorers on the afternoon. Ricks set a new career-high and led all scorers with 25 points, he also knocked down a game-high four three-pointers. Gosley finished with 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting from the field and was a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe.
Ahmad Tejumola (Waldorf, Md./Saint Charles) and Chima Omeihe (Lake Worth, Fla./Park Vista Community) both recorded double-doubles in the game. Tejumola tallied his ninth double-double of the season with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Omeihe came off the bench and contributed 13 points and hauled in 11 rebounds.
Amos Luptak led Geneva with 21 points.
The Tomcats will compete in the PAC Championship Tournament when they travel to top-seeded Grove City on Tuesday. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
