ERIE, Pa. - The Thiel College men's volleyball team dropped two Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) matches on Saturday as they fell 3-0 to Hiram College and 3-1 to Geneva College.
The Terries made quick work of the Tomcats in match number one as they took the match 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-22).Â
Thiel was unable to bounce back in match number two of the day as the Tomcats were defeated by Geneva, 3-1 (25-21, 21-25, 25-20, 25-16).Â
Jacob DeRue (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) collected double-digit kills in the four-set loss with 13, while
Stephen Borgen (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler Area) added 12 digs and 34 assits.Â
With today's results, Thiel falls to 14-12 overall and 9-4 in conference play.
The Tomcats return to action on Tuesday as they host Penn State Behrend in Thiel's final home game of the season, first serve is set for 7 p.m.Â
