GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's lacrosse team defeated the Bethany Bison in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play at Alumni Stadium Saturday, 20-3.
Paige Scherer (Cranberry, Pa./Seneca Valley) led the Tomcats with seven points (4G, 3A). Three Tomcats tallied five points in the conference win, including
Lexi Callander (Knox, Pa./Keystone) (3G, 2A),
Alyssa Hilliard (Baltimore, Ohio/Liberty Union) (2G, 3A) and
Erica Auberzinski (Odenton, Md./Arundel) (4G, 1A). Auberzinski also caused four turnovers and picked up four ground balls.
Freshman
Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Western ) chipped in with four points (3G, 1A) while contributing six draw controls, five ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Emily Ramous (Bridgeville, Pa./Chartiers Valley) made 10 saves and earned her seventh win over the season. Trinity Dixon also made 10 saves for the Bison.
Dearra Harrison, Rikiah Wise and Cassidy Mailloux each scored a goal for Bethany.
Scherer and
Diana Sileshi (Baltimore, Md./Western) were both honored prior to the game during Senior Day.
The Tomcats (7-6, 2-2 PAC) will host the Chatham Cougars (3-7, 1-3 PAC) Tuesday at Alumni Stadium. The game is slated for a 7 p.m. start.
