STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – The Thiel College women's lacrosse team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest on the road Tuesday to the Franciscan Barons, 25-14.
Paige Scherer (Cranberry, Pa./Seneca Valley) led the Tomcats with five goals and added two assists for a 7-point game.
Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Western ) scored four goals and assisted on one goal to finish with five points. Johnson also recorded seven draw controls, five caused turnovers and five ground balls.
Maddy Wightman (Glenshaw, Pa./Shaler) notched three points (2G, 1A), controlled four draws and caused three turnovers.
Mackenzie Quinn (Carnegie, Pa./Chartiers Valley) contributed a pair of goals.
Grace Deegan led the Barons with seven goals while Carly McDonald scored four goals.
Emily Ramous (Bridgeville, Pa./Chartiers Valley) and Brittany Bain each made 10 saves.
The Tomcats (6-6, 1-2 PAC) will host the Bethany Bison (3-6, 1-0 PAC) Saturday at Alumni Stadium. The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
