WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Thiel College women's lacrosse team opened Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play Saturday with an 18-4 road win over the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets.
Paige Scherer (Cranberry, Pa./Seneca Valley) (4G, 2A) and
Mackenzie Quinn (Carnegie, Pa./Chartiers Valley) (3G, 3A) led the Tomcats with six points apiece.
Lexi Callander (Knox, Pa./Keystone) and
Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Western ) each scored three goals.
Maddy Wightman (Glenshaw, Pa./Shaler) (2G, 1A) and
Erica Auberzinski (Odenton, Md./Arundel) (2G, 1A) also recorded three points apiece.
Jackie Adler and Breanna Martini paced the Yellow Jackets with two goals apiece.
Emily Ramous (Bridgeville, Pa./Chartiers Valley) made one save in the win for the Tomcats. Riley Yoder made 10 saves for the Yellow Jackets.
Thiel (6-3, 1-0 PAC) will take on the Houghton Highlanders on the road Tuesday. The non-conference contest will begin at 7 p.m.
