BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Thiel College women's lacrosse team lost a non-conference game on the road Tuesday to the D'Youville Spartans, 18-6.
Paige Scherer (Cranberry, Pa./Seneca Valley) paced the Tomcats with two goals and an assist while
Mackenzie Quinn (Carnegie, Pa./Chartiers Valley) scored two goals. Quinn also controlled nine draws, picked up six ground balls and caused a pair of turnovers.
Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Western ) chipped in with a goal, four caused turnovers and four ground balls.
Tiff Cristofanelli led the Spartans with a game-best six goals.
Emily Ramous (Bridgeville, Pa./Chartiers Valley) made 15 saves in the loss. Megan Dulniak made 11 saves for D'Youville.
The Tomcats (5-3) will open Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play Saturday when they take on the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets on the road. The game is set to begin at 1 p.m.
