GREENVILLE, Pa. - The Thiel College women's lacrosse team won a nonconference home match against Hilbert College on Saturday as the Tomcats took the match 22-2.

Thiel jumped out to a 6-0 advantage before Hilbert got on the board with 21:17 left in the first half to make it 6-1.

The Tomcats answered with five straight goals to give themselves a double-digit lead (11-1) heading into halftime.

Paige Scherer (Cranberry, Pa./Seneca Valley) led Thiel with a game-high seven goals, while Mackenzie Quinn (Carnegie, Pa./Chartiers Valley) (4), Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Western ) (4), Tyla Belton (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) (2), Maddy Wightman (Glenshaw, Pa./Shaler) (2), and Erica Auberzinski (Odenton, Md./Arundel) (2) all had multi-goal games in the 22-2 victory.

Scherer ended the day with nine total points and nine shots on goal.
