BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team lost a 3-1 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game to the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes on the road on Saturday.
Geneva scored two unanswered goals in the first half to take a 2-0 lead into the halftime break.
Bradley Novak (Wellington, Ohio/Keystone) found the head of
Neko Hatton (Bryans Road, Md. /Henry E. Lackey) who put the ball past the Golden Tornadoes defense to cut the lead to 2-1 in the 63
rd minute. This was Hatton's first goal of his collegiate career.
Roughly two minutes later, Reed McCreery added some insurance for Geneva sealing the victory. Jake Broadwick added two goals of his own.
Defensively,
Devin Weisbarth (Akron, Ohio/Norton) recorded five saves during his time in net.
The Tomcats are back in action on Friday, Oct. 11 when they host the Westminster Titans. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
