GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team paid tribute to the senior members before a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game against the Westminster Titans on Friday.
Westminster got on the board first when Ahmed Cisse ripped a shot from roughly 20 yards out into the left side of the net giving the Titans the 1-0 advantage in the 23
rd minute. Westminster would take this one goal lead into the halftime break.
Five minutes into the second half, the Titans doubled their lead when Peter Mattocks capitalized on a pass from Logan Mannheimer.
Dylan Ralston (Joppa, Md./Perry Hall) got on the board for the Tomcats after taking advantage of a penalty kick opportunity to cut the lead to 2-1 in the 56
th minute.
Cisse and Mattocks would add another goal each to secure the road win for the Titans. Ezra Cimino and Jad Jadallah split time in goal keeping the win intact. Westminster's back line only gave up four shots all night.
Devin Weisbarth (Akron, Ohio/Norton) tallied five saves during his time in net.
The Tomcats will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 19
th when they travel to the Bethany Bison for a PAC match. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
