GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team lost a 2-1 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game in overtime to the Chatham Cougars on Tuesday.
Andreas Hauge Jonassen (Stavanger, Nor/) capitalized on a pass from Christian Heini (Medina, Ohio/Highland) in the 17th minute to give the Tomcats the 1-0 lead. The Tomcats took the one goal advantage into the second half.
Chatham would send the game into overtime in the 80th minute when Leandro Nasso blasted his shot past the Thiel defense.
Less than two minutes into the overtime period, Marco Piccolo found Kan Kamada who put the ball in the back of the net to steal the road victory.
Defensively, Noah Brieck (Kensington, Ohio/United Local ) tallied 12 saves for the Tomcats.
The Tomcats will wrap up their season on the road against Saint Vincent on Friday. The PAC game is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.
