GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team earned a 3-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) win over the Chatham Cougars Saturday night at Beeghly Gymnasium.
Thiel won in straight sets 25-16, 25-11, 25-20.
Courtney Grubbs (Freeport, Pa./Freeport) led the Tomcats with 32 assists to go along with eight digs and a pair of blocks.
Natalie Zucco (Cleveland, Ohio/North Royalton) recorded a match-best nine kills while also coming up with two aces.
Rebecca Dougherty (New Bethlehem, Pa./Redbank) tallied eight kills for Thiel while
Raquel McDonald (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) contributed seven kills and three blocks.
Taylor Williams (Tuscarawas, Ohio/Indian Valley) and
Abby Triskett (Orwell, Ohio/Grand Valley) notched 19 and 10 digs, respectively.
Elivia Wagner led the Cougars with seven kills. Shaelah Pepperman contributed 13 assists while Rylee Ritko notched 12 digs.
The Tomcats, who are 8-5 on the season in PAC play, will host the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets at Beeghly Gymnasium on Tuesday. The PAC match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Thiel defeated Waynesburg 3-0 on Sept. 28.
