Titans defeat Tomcats

GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel Tomcats lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game to the Westminster Titans 55-7 at Alumni Stadium on Saturday.
 
The Titans opened up a 27-0 first-quarter lead before Darien Mosley (Baltimore, Md./Patapsco High School & Center for the Arts) got the Tomcats on the scoreboard with a touchdown on a 91-yard kickoff return. In all, Mosley returned four kickoffs for 134 yards on Saturday.
 
Westminster went on to score three more touchdowns in the second quarter to hold a 48-7 lead at halftime.
 
Keano Grice led Westminster with 116 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries. Tyler Greene ran for 108 yards and one score on 22 totes.
 
Cole Konieczka completed 13-of-16 passes for 159 yards for the Titans. Konieczka threw three touchdown passes. Marko Bakovic (Stockholm, N.J./Wallkill Valley) completed four passes for 45 yards for the Tomcats.
 
Connor Cox led the Titans with five catches for 45 yards with two touchdowns. Isaiah Harvin (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Catholic) led Thiel with two catches for 22 yards.
 
Cameron Prebble (Sharpsville, Pa./Sharpsville) led Thiel with 16 tackles. Matt Crawford (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) made 10 tackles, two of which were behind the line of scrimmage. Trou Johnson (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) made six tackles and broke up three passes.
 
Jarred Kohl led the Titans with six tackles. Vincent Giles intercepted a pass, which he returned 20 yards.
 
The Tomcats will face the Carnegie Mellon Tartans on the road next Saturday. Kickoff for the Pac game is slated for 1 p.m.
