WASHINGTON, Pa. – Christian Payne scored a pair of first-half goals Saturday to lead the Washington & Jefferson Presidents to a 4-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) win over the Thiel College men's soccer team.
Payne scored 64 seconds into the contest on a shot from the top of the box. He scored his second goal in the ninth minute on a loose ball in the box.
Connor Anderson and Joel Winters each added a goal for the Presidents in the second half.
Payne scored two goals while Matt Kotkiewicz recorded a pair of assists.
Cole Duskey (Orrville, Ohio/Orrville) paced the Tomcats with four shots, three of which were on goal.
Christian Conrad (Barberton, Ohio/Central Catholic) made five saves for Thiel while Nick Stasko and Samuel Miller combined to make five saves for W&J.
Thiel will host Bethany Wednesday. The PAC game is set to begin at 8 p.m. at Alumni Stadium.
