DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Thiel College men's soccer team lost a non-conference contest on the road Tuesday to the Defiance Yellow Jackets, 2-0.
 
Bennett Pack broke a scoreless tie early in the second half when he scored on a header off Jarod Brossia's free kick.
 
The Yellow Jackets held a 1-0 lead until the 89^th minute when Christian Meister scored on a pass from Adam Ordel.
 
Andreas Hauge Jonassen (Stavanger, Nor/) paced the Tomcats with three shots, two of which were on net.
 
Christian Conrad (Barberton, Ohio/Central Catholic) made six saves for the Tomcats. Clay Musgrave made seven saves for Defiance.
 
The Tomcats will open Presidents' Athletic Conference play Saturday when they take on the Washington & Jefferson Presidents on the road. The game is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
