GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College baseball team split a two-game Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) series with Washington and Jefferson on Saturday falling in game one 11-0 before taking game two 4-3.
The Tomcats regained their composure in game two after an 11-0 loss in game one as Thiel jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second as

Jake Marino (Pittsfield, Pa./Youngsville) and Hudecek. Later in the inning,
Nick Grice (McKeesport, Pa./McKeesport) doubled to left center to score Sebastian to make it 4-2 after four.
Tomcat starter
Matt Gayda (Pittsburgh, Pa./Allderdice) went five innings allowing two runs and retired three batters on strikes to be in position for the win.
Matt Hultquist (North Warren, Pa./Warren) came on in the sixth and pitched three scoreless innings before running into trouble in the ninth.
Anthony Rago (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) came on for Hultquist in the ninth and closed the game out and picked up his first save of the year. Gayda (1-1) picked up his first win of the year in game two.
Zach Hudecek (Gibsonia, Pa./Deer Lakes), who was named to D3baseball.com's Team of the Week for his performance last week continued to swing a hot bat as he went 3-for-4 at the plate and scored two runs in game two.
