GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College baseball team fell 13-1 to La Roche College in a non-conference matchup on Monday at Tomcat Park.
La Roche opened the game with runs in each of the first four innings to make it 7-0 after four. The Redhawks continued to find success at the plate as a three-run sixth inning put the game out of reach for the Tomcats.

Joe Mott (Kinsman, Ohio/Badger) singled to right field in the sixth to score the lone Tomcat run of the day.
Alex Lam (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) and
Drew Dellert (Dover, Del./Poly-Tech) each collected two hits on the day.
La Roche starter Nick Tunstall went six innings allowed just one run and collected five strikeouts to earn the win. Tomcat starter
Peircen Fenton (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) went five innings and allowed five earned runs as he picked up the loss. Fenton retired a career-high seven batters on strikes in his longest outing of the season.
The Tomcats will be back in action Wednesday as they host Allegheny College in a non-conference single nine-inning contest.
