CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The Thiel College women's lacrosse team defeated the Thomas More Saints Sunday on the road at BB&T Field, 15-1.
Six Tomcats scored in the Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) win, led by
Mackenzie Quinn (Carnegie, Pa./Chartiers Valley) who netted six goals.
Megan Sweeny (Freeport, Pa./Freeport Area) finished the game with four points (3G, 1A) while
Paige Scherer (Cranberry, Pa./Seneca Valley) scored two goals.
Bradleigh Williams (Lusby, Md./Patuxent),
Lexi Callander (Knox, Pa./Keystone),
Kristyn Kinner (Alba, Pa./Troy) and
Alyssa Hilliard (Baltimore, Ohio/Liberty Union) also contributed one goal apiece in the win, which was Thiel's fourth of the season.
Kyra Farrell (Pittsburgh, Pa./Oakland Catholic) made five saves to earn her fourth win of the season. Thomas More's Aleyna Heyman also made five saves.
The Tomcats (4-7, 4-4 ORLC) will be back in action Wednesday when they host the Saint Vincent Bearcats at Alumni Stadium. The ORLC game is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
