GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College baseball team dropped a non-conference game 10-1 against the third-ranked Wooster Fighting Scots Tuesday at Tomcat Park.
The Fighting Scots jumped out to a 3-0 early lead in the first.
The Tomcats were able to tally just five hits in the loss.
Wooster capped the game with a three-run home run by Nick Strausbaugh in the seventh to put the game out of reach, 10-1.
With the loss Thiel fell to 10-13 overall on the season. The Tomcats will return to action Friday when they travel to Crestview Hills, Ky. to face the Thomas More Saints. The first game of the Presidents' Athletic Conference doubleheader is set to begin at 1 p.m.
