GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's lacrosse team lost an Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) game to the Transylvania Pioneers Sunday at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome, 23-5.
Mackenzie Quinn (Carnegie, Pa./Chartiers Valley) paced the Tomcats with three goals while
Megan Sweeny (Freeport, Pa./Freeport Area) and
Paige Scherer (Cranberry, Pa./Seneca Valley) each scored one goal.
Emma Oliver tallied nine points for the Pioneers (2G, 7A) while Shelby Wuest recorded eight points (5G, 3A).
Kyra Farrell (Pittsburgh, Pa./Oakland Catholic) made seven saves for Thiel. Mackenzie Dent made three saves for Transylvania in the first half.
The Tomcats will be back in action Wednesday when they face the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets on the road. The ORLC game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
