NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Thiel College women's lacrosse team lost a non-conference game Friday on the road to the Muskingum Fighting Muskies, 21-12.
Paige Scherer (Cranberry, Pa./Seneca Valley) led the Tomcats with five goals while
Mackenzie Quinn (Carnegie, Pa./Chartiers Valley) recorded five points on four goals and an assist. Also,
Megan Sweeny (Freeport, Pa./Freeport Area) scored two goals while
Alyssa Hilliard (Baltimore, Ohio/Liberty Union) tallied a pair of assists.
Ashley Adams led Muskingum with nine points (7G, 2A) while Kaeleigh Norvet recorded seven points (6G, 1A). Paige Watterman also contributed six points (4G, 2A).
Kyra Farrell (Pittsburgh, Pa./Oakland Catholic) and
Emily Ramous (Bridgeville, Pa./Chartiers Valley) combined to make 13 saves for the Tomcats. Kate Shamel made eight saves for the Muskies.
The Tomcats will open Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) play Wednesday when they host the Chatham Cougars at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
