CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Thiel College women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 nonconference road loss to Case Western Reserve University on Wednesday night.

The Tomcats fell in straight sets to the Spartans (25-17, 25-12, 25-14).

Leaders for the Tomcats included Kasey Kohler (New Springfield, Ohio/Springfield Local) with nine kills, Courtney Grubbs (Freeport, Pa./Freeport) with 24 assists, and Peyton Allen (Mineral Ridge, Ohio/Mineral Ridge) with 17 digs. All were good enough to be highs for the match.  

With the loss, Thiel falls to 8-13 overall.

Thiel is back in action on Saturday as they face a pair of nonconference opponents in a trimatch. The Tomcats face SUNY Canton at 1:00 p.m. before facing Pitt-Bradford at 3:00 p.m.
