ERIE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team were defeated 3-0 by the Penn State Behrend Lions in a non-conference match Tuesday night.
The Tomcats fell in straight sets (25-21, 25-9, 25-19) to the Lions.
Leaders for the Tomcats included
Jessica Kelley (Freeport, Pa./Freeport) with 10 kills,
Courtney Grubbs (Freeport, Pa./Freeport) with 25 assists, and
Peyton Allen (Mineral Ridge, Ohio/Mineral Ridge) with 12 digs.
With the loss, Thiel fell to 14-17 overall.
The Tomcats return to Beeghly Gymnasium Wednesday for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup against Geneva College. The team will honor its five senior members before the match. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
