BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Thiel College men's soccer team was defeated 4-1 in non-conference action Wednesday by the Medaille Mavericks at Dobson Field.
 
Medaille led 3-0 at halftime on a pair of goals by Holy Gbode and one marker from Pablo Ballesteros.
 
Eric Mitchell (Barberton, Ohio/Barberton) got the Tomcats on the scoreboard in the 79^th minute on a pass from John Thiel (Pickerington, Ohio/Bishop Hartley).
 
Gdobe finished with three goals for the Mavericks.
 
Christian Conrad (Barberton, Ohio/Central Catholic) made nine saves for the Tomcats while Callum Flinn made four stops for the Mavericks.
 
Thiel (3-4) will face Heidelberg on the road Saturday. The non-conference game is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
