TIFFIN, Ohio. – The Thiel College men's soccer team suffered a road non-conference loss to Heidelberg University on Saturday afternoon. Thiel fell 2-0 as Heidelberg scored two second half goals to take the match.
The Tomcat defense held strong in the first half as they allowed 15 shots but no goals as the first half ended tied at 0. However, in the second half the Heidelberg offense proved to be too much as the Student-Princes registered 21 shots, two for goals.
Heidelberg struck in the 65th and 66th minutes as Joseph Tallarico netted both goals to give Heidelberg a 2-0 advantage.

Christian Conrad (Barberton, Ohio/Central Catholic) recorded a game-high 13 saves in the loss.
With the loss, the Thiel falls to 3-5 on the year. The Tomcats will be back in action on Wednesday Sept. 27 at Alumni Stadium as they face non-conference opponent Defiance College, kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
