LATROBE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's lacrosse team was defeated 24-14 in Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) play on the road Wednesday by the Saint Vincent Bearcats.
 
Mackenzie Quinn (Carnegie, Pa./Chartiers Valley) led the Tomcats with six points (5G, 1A) while Paige Scherer (Cranberry, Pa./Seneca Valley) scored five goals.
 
Jennifer Rickens (Pittsburgh, Pa./Chartiers Valley) tallied four points (3G, 1A) for the Tomcats while Erica Auberzinski (Odenton, Md./Arundel) scored one goal.
 
Maggie Nelson led the Bearcats with 14 points (9G, 5A).
 
Kyra Farrell (Pittsburgh, Pa./Oakland Catholic) made 13 saves for the Tomcats. Maria Franey made four saves for the Bearcats.
 
The Tomcats will close the 2017 season with a pair of home games over the weekend. Thiel will host Washington & Jefferson Saturday (1 p.m.) before hosting Thomas More Sunday (1 p.m.).
