GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's lacrosse team was defeated by the University of Rochester Yellowjackets 17-0 Saturday in non-conference action at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome.
 
Mara Karpp led the Yellowjackets with five points (2G, 3A). Also for Rochester, Madeline Levy scored four goals while Brigit Regan notched four points (3G, 1A).
 
Mackenzie Quinn (Carnegie, Pa./Chartiers Valley) paced the Tomcats with a pair of shots and a groundball while Megan Williams (Lusby, Md./Patuxent) picked up three groundballs.
 
Thiel goalkeepers Kyra Farrell (Pittsburgh, Pa./Oakland Catholic) and Maya Ballard (Boardman, Ohio/Ursuline) combined to make six saves. Conley Ernst and Deirdre Kelly each recorded a save for the Yellowjackets.
 
The Tomcats will return to action Tuesday, March 14 when they host the Muskingum Fighting Muskies at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome. The non-conference game is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
