OBERLIN, Ohio – The Thiel Tomcats lost a non-conference road game to the Oberlin Yeomen Wednesday, 13-6.
Jared Saffer (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) paced the Tomcats with three goals while
Kyle Reib (Erie, Pa./McDowell) scored two goals. Also for Thiel,
Brennen O'Shea (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) and
Liam Stickle (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) each tallied a pair of assists while
Mike Damico (Hamburg, N.Y./Frontier) recorded eight groundballs.
Jack Fabrizio and Regan Chasney each scored three goals for the Yeomen. Steve Kelleher, Eric Hager and Kinori Rosnow contributed two goals apiece.
Charles Wistner (Buffalo, N.Y./Orchard Park) and
Cole O'Connor (Midlothian, Va./James River) combined to make 18 saves for the Tomcats. Calvin Filson made 12 saves for the Yeomen.
The Tomcats (5-1) will open Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) play Saturday, March 25 when they host the Hanover Panthers at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
