GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College wrestling team earned a 24-23 win over Jamestown Community College Wednesday night at Beeghly Gymnasium.
 
Tied 23-23 after the 285-pound bout, the Tomcats earned the extra team point and the win via Criteria "C" tiebreaker.
 
Trailing 20-17 with just two bouts remaining, Dominic Farabaugh (Loretto, Pa./Penn Cambria) gave the Tomcats a 23-20 lead after he pinned Kevin Mosley in 55 seconds. Though Jamestown's Nick Jones went on to win 5-3 at 285 pounds, it was Farabaugh's pin that led the Tomcats to the win.
 
Cory Bable (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) opened the match with an 18-9 major decision win over Caleb Wiggins at 125, but Jamestown's Nick Kozlowski won by pin at 133. Michel Duncan (Harrisburg, Pa./Harrisburg) won by major decision (17-9) at 141 before Jamestown's Michael Zito won by major decision at 149 pounds.
 
Jason Miller (Clarksville, Pa./Jefferson Morgan) won a 10-4 decision over Howie Nolan at 157, and the Tomcats extended their lead to 17-10 after Justin Walter (Hermitage, Pa./Hickory) won by forfeit at 165. Jamestown's Josh Balzer won by major decision at 174 pounds while Cameron Page won by pin at 184 pounds to set the stage for Farabaugh's pin at 197 pounds.
 
The Tomcats will return to action Saturday when they compete in the Washington & Jefferson College Invitational. The tournament is scheduled to begin at 9:45 a.m.
