NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team fell 3-0 (12-25, 17-25, 13-25) to Westminster College, Tuesday evening on the road in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match.
The Titans came out strong as they doubled up the Tomcats taking the first set 25-12.
Thiel would battle in the second set but dropped the set 25-17. Thiel trailed 8-9 before giving up a six-point run to make it 15-8 in favor of the Titans.
The deciding third set went to the Titans as they convincingly took the set 25-13.
The Thiel offense was kept in check as no Tomcat recorded double digits kills.
Freshman
Olivia Scott (Willoughby, Ohio/Willoughby South) collected a game-high 20 assists on the night.
With the loss, Thiel falls to 7-12 overall and 1-7 in the PAC.
The Tomcats will be back in action on Thursday Oct. 5 at Beeghly Gymnasium as they will face Saint Vincent College at 7 p.m.
