WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team suffered a pair of 3-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) losses Saturday to the Washington & Jefferson Presidents.
The Presidents won the first match 25-13, 25-18, 25-18 before winning 25-20, 25-16, 25-21 in the second match.
Hannah Rossman (Fairview, Pa./Fairview) led the Tomcats with 23 assists in the first match while
Megan Sweeny (Freeport, Pa./Freeport Area) and
Macey Garland (Mineral Ridge, Ohio/Mineral Ridge) contributed 14 and 12 digs, respectively.
Shelby Friedel (Columbia Station, Ohio/Columbia) tallied eight kills while recording four blocks.
Olivia Scott (Willoughby, Ohio/Willoughby South) handed out 22 assists in the second match while Rossman registered 10 assists. Sweeny came up with 28 digs while
Jessica Kelley (Freeport, Pa./Freeport) notched 10 kills.
The Tomcats will conclude the 2017 season Sunday when they host the Thomas More Saints at Beeghly Gymnasium. The PAC match is scheduled to begin at noon.
