GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game Monday to the Washington & Jefferson Presidents at Alumni Stadium, 2-1.
Andreas Hauge Jonassen (Stavanger, Nor) gave the Tomcats a 1-0 lead minutes before the end of the first half when he scored inside the box on a pass from
Josh Evjene (Orrstown, Pa./Chambersburg).
The Tomcats maintained a 1-0 lead through a majority of the second half until Jacob Fetterman scored the equalizer off Jason Yobbi's free kick with less than eight minutes remaining in regulation. The Presidents scored the game-winner roughly one minute later when Matt Prezioso kicked in a pass from Matt Kotkiewicz.
Christian Conrad (Barberton, Ohio/Central Catholic) made 13 saves for the Tomcats in 90 minutes of work. Nick Stasko made one saves for the Presidents.
The Tomcats will be back in action Tuesday when they host the Grove City Wolverines. The PAC game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
