GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team were defeated 3-0 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) against Grove City College at Alumni Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Wolverines dominated the early going of the first half collecting 13 shots. Grove City converted on a cross from Peter Tobias to Blake Baer, who put a head on the ball and drove it in the back of the net to give Grove City a 1-0 advantage in the 18'.
In the second half, Grove City was able to preserve their shutout and collected two more goals in the half as Franklin Tropiano added a goal in the 72' followed by Trent Strick who scored in the 79' to make it 3-0.
Goalkeeper
Christian Conrad (Barberton, Ohio/Central Catholic) made a game-high 11 saves on the night.
Connor Swatts (Greenwood, Ind./Whiteland Community) led the Tomcats offensively with two shots.
The Tomcats will be back in action on Saturday as they face Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pa. in a PAC match, kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m.
