HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Thiel College men's volleyball team was defeated 3-0 by New Paltz in non-conference action Friday evening at Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pa.
 
The Tomcats were defeated by the Hawks 25-17, 25-18 and 25-12.
 
Zach Rombach (Severn, Md./Archbishop Spalding) led the Tomcats with 17 assists while Thad Paunovich (Avonmore, Pa./Kiski Area) recorded seven digs. Also for Thiel, Cody Patterson (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) collected eight kills.
 
Matthew Grace led New Paltz with 31 assists while Bradley Schneider turned in eight kills. Anthony Bonilla notched seven digs.
 
Thiel will face Wells College (3 p.m.) and Wittenberg University (5 p.m.) Saturday at Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pa.
