HAMBURG, N.Y. – Sophomore
Zachary Oliver (Bridgeport, Ohio/St. Clairsville) scored his third goal of the season Tuesday, but it wasn't enough for the Thiel College men's soccer team in a 3-1 loss to the Hilbert Hawks.
Oliver's unassisted goal came in the 86
th minute. He took five shots in the game, three of which were on target.
Keegan Moss (Atwater, Ohio/Waterloo) and
Eric Mitchell (Barberton, Ohio/Barberton) also recorded two shots on goal apiece.
Wade Bergum, Travis Hicks and Nicolas Rodriguez each scored a goal for the Hawks.
Christian Conrad (Barberton, Ohio/Central Catholic) made five saves for Thiel while Ryan Valentine stopped six shots for Hilbert.
Thiel will travel to Bradford, Pa., Friday to face the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford at 3 p.m.
