BRADFORD, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team improved to 2-3-1 on the season with a 1-0 win over the Pitt Bradford Panthers Friday.
Scoreless for a majority of the game,
Zachary Oliver (Bridgeport, Ohio/St. Clairsville) scored the game-winner for the Tomcats on a shot from inside the box on a loss ball with a little more than six minutes remaining in regulation.
Oliver took four shots for the Tomcats while
Frank Jackson (Mt. Lebanon, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) took two shots, one of which was on goal.
Christian Conrad (Barberton, Ohio/Central Catholic) made three saves for Thiel to earn the shutout, his second of the season. Colin Frownfelter also made three saves for Pitt Bradford.
The Tomcats will host the Mount Aloysius Mounties Sunday at Alumni Stadium. The contest is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
