CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Thiel College women's lacrosse team lost an Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) contest to the Mount St. Joseph Lions 11-2 Saturday at Schueler Field in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Paige Scherer (Cranberry, Pa./Seneca Valley) and
Paige Onomastico (Pittsburgh, Pa./Chartiers Valley ) paced the Tomcats with a goal apiece.
Melody Zuniga (Fort Meade, Md./Meade) and
Courtney Fatta (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) each added one assist apiece.
Kara Marshall led the Lions with three goals and a pair of assists while Erica Walsh scored three goals.
Kathryn Mapes made eight saves for the Lions while
Asia Wallace (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) denied 12 shots for the Tomcats.
The Tomcats will travel to Washington, Pa., Wednesday to take on the Washington & Jefferson Presidents. The ORLC game is set to begin at 6 p.m.
