MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's lacrosse team was defeated Sunday by the Transylvania Pioneers 22-4 in Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) play at Frank B. Fuhrer Field on the campus of Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa.
 
Jennifer Rickens (Pittsburgh, Pa./Chartiers Valley) paced the Tomcats with a pair of goals. Deanna Shaw (York, Pa./Eastern York ) and Paige Scherer (Cranberry, Pa./Seneca Valley) also scored one goal apiece while Paige Onomastico (Pittsburgh, Pa./Chartiers Valley ) registered one assist.
 
Rachel Harrison led the Pioneers with 11 goals and an assist. Also for the Pioneers, Jessica Bier scored three goals and tallied a trio of assists.
 
Asia Wallace (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) made 18 saves for the Tomcats. Lydia Shaughnessy earned the win for the Pioneers.
 
The Tomcats are scheduled to host the Saint Vincent Bearcats Wednesday. The ORLC contest is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
