HIRAM, Ohio – The Thiel College men's lacrosse team earned a 14-5 non-conference win on the road Wednesday over the Hiram Terriers. It was Thiel's second straight win.
Timothy O'Shea (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) and
Shawndel Evans II (New Haven, Conn./Notre Dame) gave the Tomcats an early 2-0 lead Wednesday on unassisted first quarter goals. Thiel scored four more goals in the first half and held a 6-3 lead at halftime. The Tomcats outscored the Terriers 8-2 in the second half to earn the non-conference win.
Brennen O'Shea (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seneca Valley) led the Tomcats with four goals and an assist while his brother Timothy scored two goals while recording one assist.
Sean Loney (Linthicum, Md./North County) also scored two goals for the Tomcats while registering one assist.
Aaron Parry (Erie, Pa./McDowell),
Edward Kargbo (Alexandria, Va./T.C. Williams) and Evans II each tallied a pair of goals for the Tomcats.
Charles Wistner (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park) made 13 saves for Thiel in nearly 56 minutes of work to earn his second win of the season. Sawyer Lott made 14 saves for the Terriers.
Nick Rollason and Greg Summers paced Hiram with two goals apiece.
The Tomcats (2-1) will host the Houghton Highlanders Saturday at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome. The non-conference contest is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
