ARLINGTON, Va. – The Thiel College men's volleyball team fell in three sets (19-25, 15-25, 25-27) to the Marymount Saints in a Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) contest Friday night.
Zach Rombach (Severn, Md./Archbishop Spalding) recorded his fourth double-double of the season for the Tomcats. Rombach handed out 28 assists while digging out 11 Saint attacks.
Cody Patterson (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) notched double-digit kills (11) while
Thad Paunovich (Avonmore, Pa./Kiski Area) and
Nate Roche (Cochranton, Pa./Cochranton) chipped in with seven and six kills respectively. Roche added three blocks and five digs.
Regan Hess (Burlington, Wis./Wetosha Central) and
Duane Emanuel (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) both blocked two Saint attacks.
T.J. Wiechecki had a match-high 12 kills for the Saints.
The Tomcats will return to action Saturday, March 19 when they head to Harrisonburg, Va. to take on Eastern Mennonite University and John Jay College in a tri-match. The first match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m
