NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College men's basketball team rolled through the Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats 94-50 on Saturday on the final day of the Buzz Ridl Classic, held at Westminster College.

Five Tomcats tallied double-digit point totals in the win led by Avril Campbell (Dumfries, Va./Potomac), who led the Tomcats with a double-double. Campbell recorded 18 points and pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds. Tyreik Burton (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen) paced all scorers with 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Alonzo Brown (Largo, Fla./Pinellas Park) and Josh Lumbus (Cleveland, Ohio/John Hay) collected 15 and 14 points respectively. Nyric Gosley (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) came off the bench and scored 13 points.

After the Bobcats scored first to start the game, the Tomcats took the lead with a little over 16 minutes to go in the first half and never looked back.

For the game, the Tomcats connected on 45.6 percent from the field and held the Bearcats to 25 percent shooting.

Brown and Gosley were honored as members of the Buzz Ridl Classic All-Tournament Team.

Kyle Bondl led the Bobcats with 11 points.

The Tomcats (3-0) will return to the friendly confines of Beeghly Gymnasium on Monday when they host the Allegheny Gators for their 2016 home opener. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m.
