GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team suffered a three-set defeat (24-26, 14-25, 22-25) to the Bethany Bison in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match Tuesday evening.
Lenora Boyer (Delaware, Ohio/Delaware Christian) led the Tomcats with 10 kills on 22 attacks for a .318 hitting percentage.
Peyton Allen (Mineral Ridge, Ohio/Mineral Ridge) notched eight kills and nine digs while
Jessica Monroe (Massillon, Ohio/Massillon Washington) recorded seven kills in the loss.
Jenny Shelley (Port Allegany, Pa./Port Allegany) dished out 30 assists with six digs.
Shelby Friedel (Columbia Station, Ohio/Columbia) had six kills and three blocks.
Megan Sweeny (Freeport, Pa./Freeport Area) paced the Tomcat back row with 15 digs.
Morgan Reisz (Canonsburg, Pa./Bishop Canevin) and
Hayley Macko (Canal Fulton, Ohio/Northwest) added seven digs in the loss.
Dylana McKenzie and Dakota McKenzie each tallied double-digit kills totals for the Bison.
The Tomcats will host the Saint Vincent Bearcats on Thursday at 7 p.m. in a PAC matchup. Before the contest, the Tomcats will honor Boyer and Shelley for senior day.
