GREENVILLE, Pa. – Zachary Oliver (Bridgeport, Ohio/St. Clairsville) scored three goals, two in the first half, to lead the Thiel Tomcats to a 6-0 non-conference win Thursday over the Penn State Beaver Lions at Alumni Stadium.
 
Jordan Lilley (Jamestown, Ohio/Greeneview) gave the Tomcats the lead 1:51 into the contest when he buried a pass in the box from Eric Mitchell (Barberton, Ohio/Barberton).
 
Oliver scored his first goal at the 5:24 mark after receiving a lead pass from Josh Evjene (Orrstown, Pa./Chambersburg). He netted his second goal roughly four minutes later when he picked the top right corner in a one-on-one situation.
 
Christopher Felger (New Castle, Pa./Mohawk) extended Thiel's lead to 4-0 in the 28^th minute when he scored during another one-on-one situation.
 
Oliver's hat trick goal was scored in the 81^st minute on a pass from Alexander Green (Cleveland, Ohio/Cardinal Mooney). Mitchell closed out scoring less than two minutes later on an unassisted marker.
 
Oliver led the Tomcats with three goals while Mitchell scored a goal and tallied an assist.
 
Christian Conrad (Barberton, Ohio/Central Catholic) made six saves to earn his third shutout win of the season. Sam Sharpless made eight saves for Penn State Beaver in 45 minutes of work.
 
The Tomcats will resume Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play Tuesday when they travel to Washington, Pa., to take on the Washington & Jefferson Presidents. The contest is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
