GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's basketball team were defeated by the Thomas More Saints 75-73 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest Saturday afternoon.
Khari Bess (Waldorf, Md./Maurice J. McDonough) notched his first career double-double, scoring 21 points and handing out 11 assists. Bess' 21 points matched his career high. He went 9-of-18 from the floor, stole the ball six times and grabbed four rebounds.
Josh Lumbus (Cleveland, Ohio/John Hay) and
Avril Campbell (Dumfries, Va./Potomac) each recorded double digit points, scoring 13 and 10 points respectively. Lumbus pulled down six rebounds.
Luke Kochka (Monroeville, Pa. /Gateway) and
Clandell Cetoute (Wellington, Fla./Wellington) each scored nine points and grabbed five rebounds.
Simon Clifford and Brandon Horne scored 22 and 20 points respectively for the Saints.
The Tomcats will travel to Pittsburgh on Wednesday to take on the Chatham Cougars in a PAC matchup. The action is slated for an 8 p.m. tipoff.
