GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team was defeated 2-1 on the road Wednesday by the Pitt Greensburg Bobcats at Ridilla Field in Greensburg, Pa.
All scoring was done in the first half. The Bobcats took the lead just over a minute into the contest when Jake Lauderbaugh scored inside the box.
Jordan Lilley (Jamestown, Ohio/Greeneview) scored an unassisted goal roughly 21 minutes later to tie up the score. It was Lilley's fourth goal of the season.
Pitt Greensburg's Austin Lonzo scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal at the 33:23 mark on an assist by Alex Fell on a corner kick.
Trey Roller (Girard, Ohio/Ursuline) made eight saves for the Tomcats while Reese Laurel denied three shots for the Bobcats.
Thiel will host the University of Mount Union Tuesday, Sept. 29 at Alumni Stadium. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
