GREENVILLE, Pa. – Freshman forward
Dominic Walker (Kent, Ohio/Field) scored his conference-leading eighth goal of the season Tuesday, but it wasn't enough for the Thiel College men's soccer team in a 2-1 loss at Alumni Stadium to the Medaille Mavericks.
The Mavericks scored two early goals roughly four minutes apart in the first half. Junior Geegba scored Medaille's first goal on an assist from Nick DuMond. DuMond scored the second marker on a pass from Yggor Zignago.
Walker got the Tomcats back into the game when he scored in the 63
rd minute of the contest.
Jordan Lilley (Jamestown, Ohio/Greeneview) assisted with a long lead pass.
Trey Roller (Girard, Ohio/Ursuline) made nine saves for the Tomcats while Brian Arcara made two saves for the Mavericks.
Thiel will take on Pitt Greensburg Wednesday on the road. The contest is set to begin at 4:30 p.m.
