MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team dropped two three set matches to the Marymount Saints (10-25, 17-25, 11-25) and the Allegheny Gators (14-25, 15-25, 13-25) in a tri-match Saturday afternoon.
Danielle Gomula (Northfield, Ohio/Trinity) and
Lenora Boyer (Delaware, Ohio/Delaware Christian) led the Tomcat attack in the tri-match. Gomula and Boyer each had six kills against the Saints and the Gators, respectively.
Shelby Friedel (Columbia Station, Ohio/Columbia) and
Bailey Holmes (Roaming Shores, Ohio/Grand Valley) each collected five kills against the Gators.
Hannah Rossman (Fairview, Pa./Fairview) recorded 37 total assists on the day.
Cailyn Thomas had seven kills and seven blocks for the Saints, while Taylor Samuel had 12 kills for the Gators.
The Tomcats resume Presidents' Athletic Conference play taking on the Bethany Bison and the Westminster Titans in a tri-match on Tuesday, Sept. 22. The Tomcats will take on the Bison at 6:30 p.m. and the Titans afterward.
